USD pricing

List prices are shown in U.S. dollars unless otherwise noted on the domain page.

1. Accepted Payment Methods

GoatNames.com supports the following payment options for eligible domain purchases:

  • Stripe Checkout — credit and debit cards (and other methods Stripe displays in your region) on Stripe's secure payment page.
  • PayPal — PayPal balance, linked bank, or card through PayPal's checkout, for domains priced at $3,000 USD or less.
  • Escrow.com — for qualifying buy-now and lease-to-own transactions as indicated on individual domain pages (typically higher-value sales).

Available methods depend on domain price, listing configuration, and regional support from each processor. The domain purchase page shows which buttons are active before you pay.

2. Stripe Payment Integration

When you choose Buy Now with Stripe, you leave GoatNames.com and complete payment on Stripe Checkout, a PCI DSS–compliant hosted payment flow operated by Stripe, Inc.

  • Stripe collects and processes your payment credentials directly.
  • GoatNames receives confirmation of payment success, amount, and transaction identifiers—not your full card number.
  • Stripe may send you a receipt and fraud-prevention communications according to your settings.

GoatNames uses Stripe only as a payment processor. Stripe is not the seller of the domain and does not control registrar transfers.

3. PayPal Payment Support

Buy Now with PayPal is offered on eligible domains at or below $3,000 USD. You authenticate and pay on PayPal's website or in the PayPal app.

  • PayPal Buyer Protection may apply to qualifying transactions under PayPal's own terms.
  • GoatNames receives payment confirmation from PayPal before initiating domain transfer.
  • Disputes opened in PayPal Resolution Center are handled under PayPal policies; we respond with order and transfer records.

4. Accepted Currencies

Domain prices on GoatNames.com are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) unless another currency is explicitly shown on the listing. Stripe or PayPal may display conversion to your local currency at checkout; conversion rates and fees are determined by your bank, card issuer, or PayPal—not by GoatNames.

5. Payment Security & PCI Compliance

Protecting payment information is a shared responsibility between GoatNames, our processors, and you:

  • PCI compliance: Card data is entered only on Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure. GoatNames does not process or store raw card data on our servers.
  • Encryption: Checkout sessions use HTTPS/TLS. Stripe and PayPal apply their own fraud detection and encryption standards.
  • No storage on GoatNames: We do not retain full payment card numbers, CVV/CVC codes, or PayPal login credentials.

Never send credit card numbers or passwords by email or chat. Our team will only direct you to official Stripe, PayPal, or Escrow.com checkout links shown on goatnames.com.

6. Secure Checkout Flow

  1. Select a domain and review price on the GoatNames listing page.
  2. Click Buy Now with Stripe or PayPal (or start Escrow.com when offered).
  3. Complete payment on the processor's secure page.
  4. Return to GoatNames success/cancel URL as applicable.
  5. Receive confirmation from the processor; our team contacts you to begin registrar transfer.

If checkout fails or is cancelled, no domain transfer is initiated and you are not charged (pending bank authorization reversals from your financial institution).

7. Fraud Prevention

We monitor orders for suspicious activity and may delay or cancel transactions that appear fraudulent, involve stolen payment methods, or violate our policies. We may request identity or ownership verification before releasing high-value domains.

GoatNames cooperates with Stripe, PayPal, and law enforcement on confirmed fraud. Attempting to use unauthorized payment sources is prohibited and may result in cancelled orders and account restrictions.

8. Chargeback Handling

A chargeback is a payment reversal initiated through your bank or PayPal rather than through GoatNames support. If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can resolve transfer or billing issues.

When a chargeback is filed, we provide Stripe or PayPal with transaction records, transfer status, and communications. If a chargeback is granted after a domain has been transferred, you may still be required to cooperate with recovery processes under applicable law and our Refund Policy.

Abusive or fraudulent chargebacks on completed digital deliveries may affect your ability to purchase from GoatNames in the future.

9. Third-Party Processor Limitations

GoatNames is not responsible for outages, declines, holds, or security incidents originating solely from Stripe, PayPal, Escrow.com, your bank, or card network—though we will work in good faith to help complete legitimate purchases when processors are available.
