Digital marketplace

GoatNames lists and sells domain names as digital assets—not physical products.

Payment processors

Stripe and PayPal process payments; they are not the domain seller.

Final pricing

The price shown at checkout is the agreed purchase price for that domain.

1. Agreement to These Terms

By clicking Buy Now, completing Stripe Checkout, paying through PayPal, or otherwise submitting payment for a domain listed on GoatNames.com, you agree to these Terms of Purchase, our Purchase Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, and site-wide Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not complete payment.

2. GoatNames as Digital Asset Marketplace

GoatNames.com operates as a marketplace for premium domain names—digital assets registered through ICANN-accredited registrars. GoatNames LLC facilitates listing, sale, and coordination of registrar transfer. Unless stated otherwise on a specific listing, GoatNames is the seller of record for domains offered on our checkout pages.

No physical goods are sold. Delivery is solely by electronic transfer of domain registration.

3. What Payment Confirms

Successful payment through Stripe or PayPal (or completion of an approved Escrow.com transaction) confirms your intent and commitment to purchase the specific domain name, at the price and currency displayed at checkout, subject to delivery and transfer conditions in our Purchase Policy.

Payment confirmation is not the same as immediate ownership: you receive operational control only after the domain is in your registrar account.

4. Stripe & PayPal as Payment Processors Only

Stripe, Inc. and PayPal (and Escrow.com where applicable) provide payment processing services only. They are independent third parties and are not parties to the domain sale agreement except as payment facilitators.

  • Your use of Stripe and PayPal is subject to their respective user agreements and privacy policies.
  • GoatNames does not store your full card credentials; see our Payment Methods policy.
  • Billing descriptors on your statement may reference Stripe, PayPal, or GoatNames as configured with processors.

5. Domain Valuation & Pricing Finality

You acknowledge that domain valuation is subjective and that listed prices reflect market positioning, brandability, and seller strategy. The price shown on the domain page and confirmed at checkout is final for that transaction, except in cases of verified checkout error covered by our Refund Policy.

GoatNames does not guarantee future resale value, traffic, revenue, or search rankings from acquiring any domain name.

6. Sales Final Once Transfer Begins

Domain name sales are final once transfer begins. "Transfer begins" means we have initiated a push to your registrar, provided an auth/EPP code at your request, or taken other irreversible steps to assign registration rights to you.

After that point, refunds are generally not available as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

7. Buyer Acknowledgments

By purchasing, you represent that:

  • You are authorized to enter the transaction and use the domain for your intended purpose.
  • You have reviewed the domain spelling, extension, and listed price.
  • You understand the domain is a digital good with no physical shipping.
  • You will provide accurate registrar and contact information for transfer.
  • You are responsible for trademark and legal clearance unless GoatNames expressly states otherwise in writing.

8. Delivery & Third-Party Dependencies

Transfer timing depends on registrars, registries, and payment processors. GoatNames will make commercially reasonable efforts to deliver the domain but is not liable for delays outside our reasonable control, including Stripe outages, PayPal reviews, registrar maintenance, or ICANN-mandated waiting periods.

9. Limitation of Liability (Purchase Context)

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GoatNames LLC's liability arising from a specific domain purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that domain in the transaction giving rise to the claim, except where prohibited by law. Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages are excluded as allowed by applicable law.
